SXSW Community Meet Up Recap from Austin: Great Way to Close the 2014 Networking Tour!

Written by Danielle Zamora | February 4, 2014

Awesome turnout at the SXSW Community Meet Up in Austin on February 3

That’s a wrap for our pre-event Community Meet Ups tour! Last night, digital creatives from the Austin area braved the (surprisingly) cold Texas weather to network and talk all things SXSW! Great conversations were had and connections were made in anticipation for SXSW Interactive in March. As well, the Austin tech community had a chance to mingle with SXSW staff and talk about what to do at SXSW Interactive this year. A few recommendations were to check out our Maximizing SXSW page, our First-Timer’s Guide, our Staff Recommendations page, our “New for 2014” page, and of course, to peruse the online schedule. All in all, it was a great event thanks to the awesome Austinites who braved the cold and came out last night!

Special thanks to the amazing Easy Tiger staff, Event Coordinator, Kaitlyn Lamm, and Manager, Elsie Greer.  Many thanks as well to Jenny Fernandez and Amy Lemen at Porter Novelli for their hard work in making our event a success!

Couldn’t make it to one of our Meet Ups this year? Then check out the recaps below!

Lastly, remember to buy your SXSW Interactive badge by the end of the day on Friday, February 7 if you haven’t done so yet! Beating this February 7 deadline will save you $100 before the walk-up rate goes into effect!

Thanks for a great meet up tour America!  We’ll see you at SXSW Interactive 2014 in March in Austin!
