Latinos in Tech Programming at SXSW Continues Through End of Day Sunday

Attend the Latinos in Tech Programming at SXSW Interactive 2014

For the first time ever, SXSW interactive is offering the Latinos in Tech track  — a three-day track of panels and sessions at the Holiday Inn Town Lake showcasing Latino talent and innovations in the tech and new media space.

The Latinos in Tech Track started Friday and continues through Sunday. There are more than 20 events in this track, ranging from "How South America is Redefining Internet Democracy” to "Latinas As New Leaders in Tech Innovation”. Check out some events below:

  • Argentina’s Creative & IT Sector in the U.S. at 5pm on Saturday in the Sunflower Room: As the IT sector in Argentina continues to boom, this panel will provide transparency about demographic, cultural, social and economic factors directly impacting Argentina.

  • Latinos: The Next Social Superstars at 11am on Sunday in the Sunflower Room: This session show how Latino content creators can find their own opportunities and maximize exposure for themselves by developing their own global platforms to showcase their work, engage an audience, and connect with advertisers. A new crop of Latino social influencers are becoming the next generation of digital superstars — but how are they getting there?

  • Hacking Entrepreneurship from Government at 3:30pm on Sunday in the Sunflower Room: Chile claims to have found the magic equation for boosting an innovative tech ecosystem. Join this panel to learn about Start-Up Chile, a program of to attract young and new entrepreneurs to start their businesses in Chile.
