Food at SXSW: It's Not Just for Sustenance Anymore

Written by Sarah Garcia | July 18, 2014

Enter your food ideas through the PanelPicker!

Do you like eating food, looking at food and talking about food? Us too! Well as luck (and lots of hardwork) would have it, for 2015 we will again be hosting the Food track as part of SXSW Interactive programming. In 2014, SXSW partnered with KitchenAid to host the first-ever, day-long track of programming devoted to all things food culture, and enthusiasts flocked.

In response to the great attendance and feedback we received, we're expanding on this track and would love your help! If you have a great idea that pertains to food or the future of the dining experience, we'd love for you to add your idea to the mix. This diverse conversation will range from topics like communal dining and agritech to experimental cooking and food as art. Session highlights from SXSW 2014 include “AgriTech's Promise: Food For 10 Billion and Beyond,” “Sous Vide in the City: How Digital Dining Feeds Us,” and “DIY: The New Culinary Movement.”

With the SXSW PanelPicker now open for your suggestions we’re asking you, the culinary community, to submit all of your palate-pleasing ideas! The PanelPicker will be open until Friday, July 25 so once your idea is honed in, head on over to PanelPicker, create an account and submit your idea before the deadline!

Have questions related to the PanelPicker or food programming? We have answers! Just email us and we're happy to help.
