Does it take a five-figure budget to launch a successful app, service or product at the 2014 SXSW Interactive Festival? No, it definitely does not. While big budgets can buy lots of hype (plus a swanky venue, a great band, a long line out the door and lots of free drinks), smart SXSW attendees are always looking for usability, simplicity and innovation. Said another way, quality and creativity tend to rise to the top in Austin in March (with or without the support of a well-funded Marketing Department).
Watch demos from some of the coolest new tech releases via the first-ever ReleaseIt at SXSW programming on Friday, March 7 from 11:00 am to 12:30 pm in Salon A at Startup Village. Emceed by Trey Bowles of the Dallas Entrepreneur Center, this event showcases 10 innovative companies from the United States and Canada. Each company will present a short pitch on their new launch and a panel of all-star judges will determine the three companies they think will most likely achieve success.
