Attend the SXSW Closing Party on Monday evening, March 11

Although the 2014 SXSW Interactive Festival is coming to a close, there is still at least one more event that you don’t want to miss. Put the perfect cherry on top of an incredible SXSW Interactive week by attending the official Closing Party. With over-the-top performances by Method Man and Redman, Pusha T, 2 Chainz and a special guest appearance by Aloe Blacc, this shindig will have you counting down the days to next year’s shenanigans (March 13-17, 2015).

So make sure you head to Stubb's (801 Red River) at 8:30 pm on March 11 to celebrate the 30th anniversary of Def Jam, hosted by our friends at Media Temple, (mt). Media Temple is the best website hosting and cloud services provider, which focuses on web designers and developers. Recently acquired by the Super Bowl commerical star Go Daddy, some of the world’s biggest brands trust their sites to Media Temple – along with famous designers, artists, bloggers and entrepreneurs.

A party isn’t a party without good music. That’s exactly why we’re excited Def Jam is here to make this party a blowout. Def Jam’s current artists include Rihanna, Kanye West, Trinidad Jame$ and more. Lucky for us, they’ve sent us a few of their top performers for our Closing Party.

Method Man and Redman
Also referred to as Red & Mef, this American hip hop duo consists of two rap superstars Method Man (of Wu-Tang Clan) and Redman (of Def Squad). The two are signed to Def Jam, both as solo artists and as a group. They put on one hell of a show.

Pusha T
Terrence Thornton, better known by his stage name Pusha T, is an American hip hop recording artist from Virginia Beach, Virginia. You know, he’s the guy who raps in that song “Mercy” by Kanye West, Big Sean and 2 Chainz. Watch his recently dropped visual for his track, “Suicide” featuring AB Liva off his latest album, My Name Is My Name.

2 Chainz
Last, but certainly not least, the one and only 2 Chainz. Previously best known for being signed to Ludacris’ Disturbing the Peace label, as well as their debut single “Duffle Bag Boy,” 2 Chainz has recently made a strong comeback. Featured in songs like F**kin’ Problems, We Own It and All Me, 2 Chainz are arguably the most anticipated performances of the night.

Aloe Blacc
This worthy soul singer got the breakthrough he deserved with his barreling vocal in the 3 million-selling song he co-wrote with Avicii, “Wake Me Up.” He is also best known for his singles “I Need a Dollar,” and “The Man.” If you’re feeling like dancing, check Mr. Blacc out here.

Admittance to the SXSW Interactive Closing Party is free with your SXSW Interactive, Gold or Platinum badge. This blowout celebration of spring in Austin lasts until the wee hours of the morning. See you there!
