SXSW Interactive Opening Party on Friday, March 7
Amazing networking opportunities with digital creatives from across the United States and around the world make SXSW Interactive such an incredible event to attend. Get to Austin early because one of the best opportunities to make valuable new connections comes on the very first day of the event.
Join us at the Palmer Events Center on Friday evening, March 7 to get SXSW Interactive 2014 underway with an unforgettable evening. The Palmer Events Center is just across Town Lake. If you are walking from Sixth Street, plan for about 10 minutes. But why put strain on your feet when you can take one of our free shuttle buses from the Austin Convention Center? These free shuttle buses run late on Friday, March 7 for Opening Party patrons. Stay tuned to this website for complete details.
Mix at Six Party on Saturday, March 8
Saturday, March 8 marks the first full day of daytime programming at the 2014 SXSW Interactive Festival. The evening of Saturday, March 8 also traditionally serves as one of the most active nights of social events, ranging from low key happy hours to large concerts to informal geek-centric sporting events.
Stay tuned to the SXSW website for more details on all these March 8 evening activities. Whichever of these events you attend, don't miss the Mix at Six Party Presented by 24 Seven at 6:30 pm on Saturday evening. The Mix at Six Party always delivers as one of the top networking events of all of SXSW Interactive. We provide the food and drinks. You bring the business cards and the energy to mingle with hundreds of fascinating digital creatives from across the US and around the world.
Lastly, a word of caution on not getting to crazy with your Saturday evening socializing. Remember that Sunday, March 9 brings the first day of Daylight Savings Time for 2014 -- meaning you lose an hour of pillow time at 2:00 am. Then again, sleep is for wimps at SXSW!
SXSW Fusion Party on Sunday, March 9
Few other events bring together the Interactive, Film and Music communities in the way that SXSWeek does. Indeed, the amazing mix of industries that occurs in Austin in March allows you to make valuable career-enhancing connections that extend far beyond your traditional network. Even beyond the networking factor, people outside of your industry can expose you to new ways of thinking. In other words, meeting people from communities that you probably don't normally work with enables you to learn new ways to approach the creative process.
Where do these kinds of meetings happen? In our estimation, the SXSW Fusion Party on Sunday evening, March 9 is one of the best places to connect with people outside your industry. At the SXSW Fusion Party, the creative worlds of Interactive and Film come together for an incredible evening of cross-fest love. Filmmakers, designers, social media mavens, producers, activists and more converge -- and the results can launch a thousand ships. The SXSW Fusion Party is open to all Interactive, Film, Gold and Platinum badgeholders.
Where does the magic occur? Stay tuned to this website for more details on exact location of the this fun-filled get-together!
