We love creation at SXSW Interactive and our SXSW Interactive Awards competition honors just that. The Interactive Awards highlight the coolest projects from the Interactive community, including mobile and tablet apps, platforms, games, kiosks/installations, digital campaigns, websites and more. We are looking for projects created by the Interactive community that push the boundaries of what’s possible in digital content and inspire the next wave of creativity.
Deadline for entering the 2014 SXSW Interactive Awards is end of day on Friday, November 8. Finalists in each of the categories will be announced in late January 2014. Winners are revealed at the gala SXSW Interactive Awards ceremony on the evening of Tuesday, March 11 at the Downtown Austin Hilton. This Tuesday, March 11 ceremony also honors the 2014 SXSW Interactive Hall of Fame inductee, as well as the Breakout Trend of the Event and the Speaker of the Event.
You, if you’ve created something creative and unique in the past year. The SXSW Interactive Awards highlight projects that were created or completely redesigned in the current calendar year. So if you launched a project in 2013, it’s eligible. Just remember that all projects must be live and open to the public when finalists are announced. NOTE: The SXSW Interactive Awards is not a launch and/or showcase event. If you are wanting to showcase your startup, then you should be involved with SXSW Accelerator.
