SXSW Interactive prizes creative innovation in the connected world. Previously called the Interactive Awards, the re-branded SXSW Interactive Innovation Awards showcases the evolving and broadening scope of the digital industry by more fully embracing its ever-widening variety of platforms, software, apps and devices. SXSW wants to honor the best and latest advancements in 2014 and the people who made them happen, and celebrate them with you!
We’ve improved our 2015 awards categories to reflect the increasingly multifaceted and diverse ecosystem of technological achievement. All categories are open exclusively to developments or redesigns accomplished in the 2014 calendar year.
Entries in each category will be accepted through the end of day on Friday, November 7; winners will be announced at the SXSW Innovation Awards Ceremony on Tuesday, March 17. The ceremony also honors the 2015 SXSW Interactive Hall of Fame inductee, as well as the Breakout Trend of the Event and the Speaker of the Event.
How to Enter:
We will begin accepting early-entries on Monday, August 18, 2014 at a reduced fee. If you are interested in entering your project click here.
Deadlines to Enter Your Project:
The early-entry deadline is 11:59 PM CT on September 26, 2014, although we will continue to accept entries through 11:59 PM CT on November 7, 2014.

SXSW Interactive Hall of Fame
Several years ago we began honoring influential members of the SXSW Interactive community as a part of the SXSW Interactive Awards. Dubbed the SXSW Interactive Hall of Fame, these trendsetters have inspired a generation of digital creatives and continue to do excellent work in the Interactive community. For 2014, the Hall of Fame inductee was Joi Ito of the MIT Media Lab.
