When do the 2015 SXSW Gaming Awards occur?
The SXSW Gaming Awards will be held on the evening of Saturday, March 14 at the Long Center for the Performing Arts. The event is free and open to the public, although SXSW badge holders and Gaming Awards finalists get priority seating.
What types of games are at the 2015 SXSW Gaming Awards?
The SXSW Gaming Awards celebrate the creativity and innovation of all games across PC, console, mobile, and table top worlds. To be eligible to be part of the SXSW Gaming Awards, your game or title has to have been released during the past calendar year (January 1, 2014 through December 31, 2014) with the exception of the Most Anticipated Crowdfunded and Gamer’s voice categories.
How many categories are there?
We have 21 categories that cover a wide range of innovation in the gaming world and honor our deserving finalists.
What if I am a studio or publisher, and I would like to have my game considered for an award?

It’s Free! There is no application fee to enter your project for consideration to the SXSW Gaming Awards.
Info on the SXSW Gamer's Voice Award Category
What is the SXSW Gamer’s Voice Award and what are the perks?
This category is a special award, reserved for excellence exhibited by independent developers for their games and projects. The top indie games will not only receive the opportunity to win an award at the SXSW Gaming Awards but they will also receive a free spot on the Expo floor to showcase their game, where the public will help determine the winner.
What does it cost to apply to the SXSW Gamer’s Voice Award?
It is Free! There is no application fee to enter your project for consideration for the Gamer’s Voice Award.
