The centerpiece of the SXSW Interactive Festival's slate of evening events, the annual SXSW Interactive Awards Ceremony presented by HP, is where the winners from each of the competition's 15 categories and five Special Honors are announced.

The 15th Annual SXSW Interactive Awards Ceremony will take place on Tuesday evening, March 13 in the Austin Grand Ballroom on the 6th floor of the Hilton Austin Downtown. Pre-party begins at 6:00pm, ceremony begins at 7:00pm.

The SXSW Interactive Awards Ceremony is open to all Interactive, Gold and Platinum badge holders.

Comedy Duo Gabe & Jenny to Emcee 15th Annual Interactive Awards Ceremony

For the first time we'll have co-hosts of the Interactive Awards Ceremony as comedy duo Gabe & Jenny will emcee the night's events. Gabe Liedman and Jenny Slate met in Y2K. They are a non-sexual life partners and also writing / performing comedy duo who host a wonderful weekly show called "Big Terrific" in Brooklyn, New York. You've heard Gabe on "This American Life" and have seen him in videos by The Onion. Jenny is the co-creator of the "Marcel The Shell with Shoes On" films and books, and is an SNL alum. Jeffrey Zeldman to be Inducted to SXSW Interactive Hall of Fame During Ceremony

Web design pioneer Jeffrey Zeldman will be the first ever inductee to the SXSW Interactive Festival Hall of Fame during the SXSW Interactive Awards Ceremony. Dubbed the King of Web Standards by Business Week, Zeldman publishes A List Apart “for people who make websites,” a leading journal of web design thought since 1998. He is also the founder and executive creative director of Happy Cog™, a design agency with studios in New York, Philadelphia, and San Francisco. He has written two books, notably the foundational web standards text, "Designing With Web Standards 3rd Edition", with Ethan Marcotte.
