The SXSW Interactive Awards Ceremony

The centerpiece of the SXSW Interactive Festival's slate of evening events, the annual SXSW Interactive Awards Ceremony is where the winners from each of the competition categories will be announced — along with several additional categories on Tuesday, March 15. That's right, mark your calendars, because the Interactive Awards event has moved from the Sunday of Interactive to Tuesday evening. More details to come on this page as they are confirmed.

Each year a very special host hands out the coveted awards and entertains the gathered crowd of Awards finalists, emerging media professionals, and about 1000 other SXSW Interactive attendees in what has become one of the most popular events of the festival.

Past Interactive Awards emcees include such notables as John Styn; Ze Frank, host of the popular vlog The Show; comedian, writer and filmmaker Eugene Mirman; writer, commentator, Onion editor Baratunde Thurston; and last year's host, comedian Doug Benson.
