Founders and startups pushing new ideas and new concepts provide so much of the momentum at SXSW Interactive. At the 2014 event, these entrepreneurs enjoyed the various programming options at Startup Village. Specifically, they showcased their talents at the two-day SXSW Accelerator pitch competition.
If you haven’t browsed the winners of this year’s event, then visit the Accelerator recap page to get a taste of some of the companies that will be driving technology innovation over the next few years. Also, be sure to browse the list of past Accelerator participants to better understand the strong track record of success coming from alums of this competition.
For 2015, the SXSW Accelerator application process starts in early August — stay tuned to this website for more details. Until then, other opportunities for startups (and the people who love them) are as follows:
SXSW V2V: Scheduled July 13-16 in Las Vegas, this event provides a perfect forum for startups to connect with innovators, angels, investors and other support personal who can help take their career to the next level. SXSW V2V creates a setting that is slightly more relaxed than what occurs in March in Austin, thus allowing for longer conversations and more in-depth connections. Be sure to enter the V2Venture pitch competition before the Friday, April 11 deadline.
Austin A-List: If your startup is based in Austin, then be sure to enter the Austin A-List competition that is organized by our friends at the Austin Chamber of Commerce. Scheduled twice per year, Austin A-List honors some of the city’s most exciting new companies and most promising new entrepreneurs. Complete entry details can be found here — hurry, final entry deadline is Friday, April 11. SXSW Interactive is a sponsor of the Austin A-List competition.
