We're pleased to announce the winners of the first annual Grulke Prize.

The Prize, awarded in three categories, was developed in honor of our friend and colleague Creative Director Brent Grulke, who passed away on August 13, 2012.

Brent's love of music and the spirit of the festival is reflected in the three Prize categories: Developing US Act, Developing Non-US Act and Career Act.

On Thursday morning of this year's SXSW Music and Media Conference we paid tribute to our friend and colleague, Creative Director Brent Grulke, who passed away last August. It was a lovely celebration, thanks in part to Alan Berg and our pals at Arts + Labor, who produced this video that aired before Dave Grohl's keynote.

Welcome to the last day of the SXSW Music Conference. We're closing with vodka, tacos, Macklemore and 50 Cent so, you know, hell yeah, people!

A quick note, if you're planning to catch the stream of SXSW Live at the North Door tonight, the broadcast starts at 9pm.

The fine folks over at SXSW Booking gave me a few more delicious treats for you to sample as you make your way out and about tonight. There's music in the air, you guys. I heard it at lunch. Five bands at once.
