Former singer of Alexisonfire and Canadian artist Dallas Green, who produces his music under the name City and Colour, will be releasing a new album entitled The Hurry & The Harm on June 4th. This is the 33-year-old’s fourth full-length album.

After a huge success at SXSW 2013, where some raved that he possesses “a powerful, sharp delivery that had the formerly funking crowd rapt in standstill,” the winner of 3 JUNO Awards will be returning to the Lone Star state again this fall in Dallas, following his tour which includes the Leeds and Reading festivals this August.

Letting Up Despite Great Faults hasn’t always been a local band here in Austin. The group formed in Los Angeles and released their first EP, entitled Movement, in 2006. Over the past several years, Letting Up has made the move to Austin and put out a couple of albums, with the most recent full-length, Untogether, released last October. A short review of the album by Filter Magazine says “Frontman Mike Lee creates sexy and wistful synth-pop” on Untogether. A review published on AllMusic.com states that the band “wander closer to the dancier elements of their dreamy indie sound” while peeling back layers of noise found on their earlier works.

Nashville pop-country artist Caitlin Rose released her sophomore album, The Stand-In, back in March on ATO Records. After releasing her debut, Own Side Now, in 2010, Rose came back stronger than ever with an album that roots music blog No Depression called “an enriching and terribly gorgeous experience.”

With a long list of influences, Rose has a certain soft spot for covers and she includes two on the new album: “I Was Cruel” by The Deep Vibration and “Dallas” by The Felice Brothers. Producers and songwriters Jordan Lehning and Skylar Wilson, known for their work with Justin Townes Earle, helped Rose create a sentimental album.

With the release of his self-titled first album, Flume is receiving nothing less than rave reviews. The 21-year-old electronic producer from Sydney, Australia, was named one of Fuse TV’s 30 Must-See Acts at SXSW this year. With eight showcases during this year’s festival, Flume significantly grew his fanbase during his SXSW visit.
