The SXSW 2013 Trade Show is officially sold out! However, there are still great opportunities to showcase your brand at SXSW exhibitions. The SXSW Gaming Expo features the latest and greatest in gaming and geek culture. The Music Gear Expo is bigger than ever this year, with more space, new features, and of course, the best gear in the industry. In addition, new for 2013, we are introducing The Market at Auditorium Shores, the No. 1 place at SXSW for cutting edge art and fashion vendors.

First Wave of Film Startup Alley Programming Announced

Startup Alley, a new track within the Film Conference bringing together the entrepreneur and investor communities within the entertainment world, will feature an array of activities and programming.

Speakers for the day include top investors Matt Mazzeo of Lowercase Capital, well known angel investor Thomas McInerney, Patrick Chung of NEA and Adam Lilling of Plus Capital and Launchpad LA, to name a few. Sessions will also feature game changing entrepreneurs shaping the entertainment industry, such as Casey Pugh, founder of VHX.tv and formerly of Vimeo and Boxee, and Stephan Paternot, co-founder of TheGlobe.com and Slated.

Austin Film Society Highlights Factory 25 Films From SXSW

Two great films from the always fascinating Factory 25 receive the Austin Film Society treatment over the next couple of weeks. This Wednesday, check out Convento from SXSW 2011. The documentary follows Christiaan Zwanikken, a Dutch artist living in a Portuguese monestary who resurrects the deceased local wildlife by reanimating their skeletal remains robotically. This unique film, directed by Jarred Alternan, will be introduced by Factory 25 founder, Matt Grady.
