Two great films from the always fascinating Factory 25 receive the Austin Film Society treatment over the next couple of weeks. This Wednesday, check out Convento from SXSW 2011. The documentary follows Christiaan Zwanikken, a Dutch artist living in a Portuguese monestary who resurrects the deceased local wildlife by reanimating their skeletal remains robotically. This unique film, directed by Jarred Alternan, will be introduced by Factory 25 founder, Matt Grady.
Next week, don't miss Francine, a searing character study starring Melissa Leo in the title performance as "an animal loving ex-convict who is ill-suited for the modern world."
All the details on The Narrative Edge: Spotlight on Factory 25 can be found at the AFS website. Don't miss it!
