Super sponsors AT&T and American Airlines came together last weekend to create one of the most productive events in all of SXSW 2013 when they hosted the "Travel Hack." AT&T Hackathons bring together accomplished and aspiring developers with tools, expert mentors and others who share their passion and complement their skills to create exciting mobile technology innovations and solution. This particular Hackathon was aimed towards rethinking how mobile apps help us get around the world. They challenged more than 60 developers to create travel apps within a 30-hour coding timeframe that incorporated unreleased APIs from both AT&T and American Airlines, then an expert panel of judges chose the 3 winners from the 15 apps that had been developed and awarded them huge cash prizes.
Only two days left of SXSW Music and Film and there's still so much to see… We know there are a lot of tired feet in this city with places to go, so take a load off and get to your show faster with SXcycles, the official SXSW bike share program! While you're at SXcycles HQ, be sure to check out NBC's Revolution "Power Down" Experience where you can enjoy unplugged gaming—ping pong, shuffle board and corn hole to name a few—interactive art, and a recharge bar (plug-in and avoid the blackout).
Get funky at 4:45pm at the Ritz 2 - there's only one more chance to see Nelson George's Finding the Funk.
The film tells the story of the legendary American music form, as told by icons like George Clinton and Bootsy Collins. And between you and me, there might be some very special guests in attendance...
