Written by Samantha Pitchel | March 1, 2014

SXSW Comedy's 2014 poster is here, and this year's design -- by Dave Perillo -- is a little bit fun, a little bit Texas, and even has a little frog (just like last year's SXSW Comedy poster art).

Philadelphia-based illustrator Perillo finds inspiration in "1950’s Sci-Fi Movies, Charles Schultz, Jim Flora, Ray Harryhausen, Roy Lichtenstein, Jim Henson, Hanna Barbera, The Twilight Zone, Alfred Hitchcock & Character Advertising Icons," and his colorful retro designs have put a unique spin on many iconic images from) The Simpsons; Perillo's art has also appeared on the posters for San Francisco Sketchfest the past few years, and you can even wear him, thanks to podcast Pop My Culture

A limited edition of 100 signed and numbered 18x24 screenprints will be available for sale during the festival, while supplies last, at the merch tables at the Austin Convention Center - and a very limited edition of metallic ink prints has been created exclusively for SXSW Comedy performers. Perillo will also have prints available online after the festival.
