SXSW Interactive is proud to announce the winners of the 2013 SXSW Interactive Scholarship program. These awards would not be possible without the generous assistance of CauseShift, Case Foundation, and Chronicle of Philanthropy. Special thanks to Scott Henderson of CauseShift for helping us keep our deadlines. Without any further ado, the winners are:

• Juhee Bae of Cambridge, Massachusetts nominated Arlene Ducao for developing a web app, Open IR, that helps ordinary people respond to natural disasters.
• Andrew Considine of Dublin, Ireland nominated Toffene Kama for creating a platform, willstream.com, to help an ever-increasing community of migrants across the globe to take control of their financial future.
• Rey Faustino for building a national web and mobile platform, One Degree, that aggregates information about community programs for users. Faustino was self-nominated.
• Victoria Ibezim-Ohaeri of Lagos, Nigeria for developing a structured advocacy group, Spaces for Change, that leverages technology and crowdsources concepts and web-based communication tools to conduct high-profile researches in inaccessible, violence-ridden communities in Northern Nigeria. Ibezim-Ohaeri was self-nominated.
• Libby Lenkinski of Tel Aviv, Israel for nominating the grassroots journalists behind 972mag.com for providing fresh reporting and analysis of events in Israel and Palestine.
